There are many free and low-cost apps and appliances that make life easier and more convenient for people with low vision. Did you know you can buy an app for $1.99 that may replace a hand held CCTV? How about a text-to-speech screen reader for about $80? They may have some more limited features, but do you really need those bells and whistles? Is it worth waiting months to get funding from some agency to buy more than you may really need? Let's exchange info about these conveniences.
