Come to learn about and discuss various technology topics. These could include learning about iPhone and iPad apps, feature demonstrations, as well as answering questions asked by participants. Shawn Thiel from ACB of Ohio will do his best to ensure that audio from the iOS device, computer, Victor Reader stream, Etc. is put through his mixer to be as clear as possible.

She will discuss whether it is fully accessible and how a blind or visually impaired diabetic might interface with the device! Have you ever wondered about how ACB got its start? We will be reading People of Vision: A History of the American Council of the Blind, by James J. and Marjorie L. Megivern, published in 2003. We would like to share our thoughts as we read through this 12-chapter book together, and will have invited guests to talk about the history as they experienced it. This group will run for one hour. The book is available on BARD, BookShare, and ACB has a thumb drive of the book in recorded, BRF and DOC formats available from the ACB Mini Mall.
