ACB History buffs, we are now on chapter 10 of the book, People of Vision: A History of the American Council of the Blind, by James J. Megivern and Marjorie L. Megivern, copyright 2003 by the American Council of the Blind. This chapter covers the period of 1989 to 1995. It will take about an hour and fifteen minutes to read. If you know one of the history-makers or are one, come and talk about this period of time. Here's to a great discussion of our wonderful ACB history.

In chapter 8 we read about affiliates getting kicked out of NFB, including CA and WA. In chapter 9, 1981 to 1989. This chapter takes about 2 hours and 18 minutes to read and is jam packed with events, struggles and victories. Please read and come prepared to talk about our history. If you were a part of this history, be prepared to take less than 5 minutes to share your story with us.

# Hello ACB history buffs: We are now in Chapter 8 of People of Vision: A History of the American Council of the Blind, by James J. Megivern and Marjorie L. Megivern, copyright 2003 by the American Council of the Blind. This chapter will take about 3.5 hours to read. It covers 1968 through 1981, so we know many of the people who are mentioned in these pages. If you are one of the people mentioned, please plan to attend and talk with us about how it was. Tell us your story in less than five minutes so everyone may speak. Please read and be prepared to join in the discussion. Events happen rapidly in both ACB and NFB. See which chapters were dropped from NFB and which affiliated with ACB. Who were some of the people joining the ACB? In chapter 8 we learn about the deaths of Jacobus tenBroek, Helen Keller, Robert F. Kennedy, and Martin Luther King, all great thinkers, leaders, and diverse representatives of humanity.
